At BRONX, we are committed to take our responsibility in safeguarding our planet for future generations. This means that we assess our impact on people and the environment and take steps to reduce our negative and increase our positive impact. We have developed a strategy around our climate ambition, materials, products, community, and transparency.
By being transparent, educating our community, and sharing our responsibility goals, we strive to include every individual connected to BRONX Shoes – from our customers, to our partners and the people who make our shoes – in this journey of setting new values and objectives.

We want to take our responsibility in safeguarding our climate for future generations and are creating a strategy to map, reduce and compensate for the carbon footprint of our products and activities.
Our climate ambition is rooted in a sense of responsibility for the environment and future generations. Through the adaption of a science-based approach to measure, map and reduce our emissions, we aim to actively contribute to global efforts to combat climate change.

By the end of 2025, BRONX will have set carbon reduction targets in line with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTI), to align with global efforts to limit global warming to 1.5°C.

BRONX will research what is needed to reduce the environmental impact of the leather that is used for our shoes. By the end of 2025 we will have mapped the current environmental impact of our leather by means of an LCA (Life Cycle Assessment).
Following this assessment, we will source leather with a lower environmental footprint and develop a roadmap to test and transition to these materials for our collections.

BRONX is taking steps in implementing the following principles of circularity: Reduce, Repair, Reuse and Recycle. By June 2025, we will have assessed and mapped our current progress in “Reduce” and “Repair”.
Following this assessment, we will develop a clear roadmap outlining the actions required to advance towards “Reuse” and “Recycle”.

BRONX aims to be GRS certifiedby the end of 2025, to ensure that the recycled materials used in BRONX products are traceable and verified by a third party. Obtaining the GRS certification is a part of our commitment to advance towards more circular practices.

By the end of 2024, BRONX will establish and implement a process for monitoring and assessing the working conditions at our (footwear) manufacturers.
